Description: The central scene of this lintel represents Krishna Govardhana.
The young god lifts up Mount Govardhana to provide shelter for the shepherds and their cattle against the torrential rains unleashed by Indra, the god of storms. Krishna's right arm is in alignment with his right leg and crossed the line of the head and trunk. His left hand rests on his hip.
The composition of the central scene has great dynamism, and the sinuous curves of the luxuriant vegetal motifs decoration which is characteristic of the Baphuon period in the second half of the 10th century.
