Description: This lovely small head represents Vishnu, the Hindu god of creation. The Vishnu head is typical of Baphuon figures. The outlining of the eyes, the delicately arched brows, and full and sensitive lips with mustache are all to be found in most Baphuon figures, as is the dimpled chin. The Jatamukuta, the locks of hair alternate toward the back with bands of pearls, the chignon is in the lotus-bud shape.
